Professional training both initially and recurrently is a requirement today for all pilots. The program created here by Jeff Welch addresses all the techniques necessary for both the experienced and novice taildragger pilots. Pilots will find it fun, yet challenging utilizing these training techniques. It will make you a safer, more confident taildragger driver. A must for every Husky pilot!!

I transitioned from an Extra 300 to a Husky 200HP A-1C. No doubt those are different airplanes and must be flown differently. My training with Jeff was terrific and the transition was smooth and efficient. I can still hear his voice even when flying solo on my approaches as he urges me "to fly a square pattern" and "stay focused on the aim point while controlling airspeed with trim and rate of descent with the throttle". Jeff clearly took my tail wheel skills to the next level.

All I can say is that after flying for over 35 some odd years and winding up in the front of a G550 you really don't realize how complacent you can become. Rudder! What's a rudder? There are a lot of instructors out there; however, they're not all teachers. Some people can instruct but they can't teach. I consider you a teacher. I have enjoyed your company and your friendship and hope to see you soon. I can use a little encouragement; however, like you always say, "You just have to get in and go!"
Jeff took the complexity of flying the Husky and broke it down into simple mechanics and created a rhythm to fly with.
